Currently, we are looking for a Head of Systems Engineering who enjoys connecting people, processes, and technology in the context of AV systems for medical simulation environments. If you are passionate about leading technical teams, developing scalable solutions, and driving collaboration across Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and customer IT – this role is for you.
Lead, motivate, and develop your Systems Engineering Team professionally and personally while ensuring forward-looking capacity and project planning.
Take full responsibility for the technical design, of our complex AV systems and their IT integration tailored to room-specific conditions and client requirements worldwide.
Support the project managers with your technical expertise in customer calls, assuring smooths project flows, smartly balancing customer requests and SIMStation standards.
Define and refine end-to-end engineering standards, workflows across tools (AutoCAD, ERP system, Jira), and technical documentation to ensure top quality – also in alignment with the US team for one global SIMStation status quo.
Work closely with Project Management, Supply Chain Management and your System Engineering peers in Dallas (USA), assuring smooth processes and fast, standardized project planning supporting efficient project delivery.
Support the Product Team in further development of the standard hardware components and materials used to make sure System Engineering has an optimal set of products to choose from when engineering a system.
Keep an eye on market developments in AV and network technology, integrating innovative solutions into our system concepts.
A completed technical degree (e.g., Higher technical school , University in IT, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology or similar) plus several years of hands-on experience in detailed technical planning of IT and AV infrastructures.
Experience in (functional) team leadership – as a Teamlead, Senior Engineer or Technical Project Lead – with a passion for mentoring, team member development and building standards and efficient structures.
Strong technical understanding of audiovisual media technology, Windows environments, and solid knowledge in network administration (routing, switches, VLANs).
Proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain clarity and structure across multiple parallel planning projects.
Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written) for daily collaboration in an international environment.
Occasional willingness to travel worldwide for complex key projects.
